On 21 January 2009 the First Meeting of the Steering Committee for the Support to Strengthening of Road Freight and Passenger Transport Safety in Ukraine TWG project under the head of Vasyl Shevchenko, the First Deputy Minister, BC Project Leader, was held.

The presentation of historical original documents of XVII-XX centuries which concern the development of Civil Service in Ukraine was held in the building of MDCSU for the President of Public Service Commission of Canada Maria Barrados on January 21.

On January, 20, 2008 Tymofiy Motrenko the Head of the Main Department of Civil Service of Ukraine took part in the Meeting of Petro Krupko, the Minister of Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, with the President of Public Service Commission of CanadaMaria Barrados.

On January, 21, 2009 director of the Center for adaptation of the civil service to the standards of the European Union – director of the Administrative office of the Twinning program Tetyana Kovtun in the frameworks of working visit to Baku, Azerbaijanian Republic took part in the international conference on the questions of using of Twinning instrument.

On January, 20, 2009, the meeting of Tymofiy Motrenko, the Head of the Main Department of Civil Service of Ukraine, with the President of Public Service Commission of Canada, Maria Barrados, took place.

 On February, 23, 2009 the Head of MDCSU, Tymofij Motrenko took part in Twenty eighth meeting of Ukrainian part of the Committee on Coperation between Ukraine and the EU chaired by Vice-Prime Minister of Ukraine Hryhorij Nemiria.

On February, 18, 2009 deputy of director of Center of Adaptation of Civil Service to the Standards of the European Union, Vitalij Kuchinskiy, held the training on the topic: „Review of the Institutions, Legislation and Process of decision making in European Union” for workers of the Head-Office of the Main Department of Civil Service of Ukraine.

In the Building of the School for Top Civil Service the trainings were held for the policy analysis groups on the topic: "Formulation of the Policy Aims. Results and Products. Logical Matrix"

On 11 February 2009 a Training Seminar on Enhancing Quality of Twinning Operations in Ukraine: Focus on Project Identification and Design was held at the premises of the Main Department of the Civil Service of Ukraine. The seminar was organised by the Twinning Programme Administration Office (PAO) and EC-Tacis project Implementation of Twinning Operations in Ukraine (ITO).

On 12 February 2009 a meeting of the Steering Committee for the TWG project of the State Aviation Administration of Ukraine (SAA) was held at the Beneficiary’s premises. The goal of the meeting was to assess the progress of the Harmonisation with EU Norms of the Legislation and Standards of Ukraine in the Field of Civil Aviation Twinning project in the reporting period stated in the Sixth Quarterly Report.
