On December 14, 2010 the State Agency of Ukraine for Investment and Development hosted the 4^th Steering Committee meeting of Twinning project “Enhancing Performance of the State Agency of Ukraine for Investment and Development in line with best European practices”.
During the meeting its participants discussed the results of activities of the parties involved in the project during the 3^rd quarter of its implementation. These activities were actually directed to review of existing project work plan, activities in its framework, components, etc. due to the change of beneficiary of the project, as according to Resolution of CMU from 30.06.10 № 570 "On establishment of State Agency of Ukraine for Investment and Development” Ukrainian Center for Foreign Investment (the previous beneficiary of Twinning) was eliminated and the State Agency of Ukraine for Investment and Development was established as the new one beneficiary.

Twinning project was implemented by Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Municipal Affairs of Germany, Federal Ministry of Transport, Innovation and Technologies of Austria and Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine (now -Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine).

The Project purpose was to enhance the capacity of MTCU, enabling them to better manage the process of transport policy design and implementation, through transfer of best EU practice, training and guidance.

During the meeting participants discussed the issues concerning preparation of the Twinning project "Improvement of the Policy Framework in the Sphere of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy and its Approximation to the Requirements of the EU Legislation" of the National Agency of Ukraine on Ensuring of Efficient Use of Energy Resources Management.

Andriy Bega, Acting Director of the Center for adaptation of the Civil Service to the EU standards, and Natalia Kyrychenko, Deputy Director of the Center, have met with Mr. Thomas Mangus Festersen Thomsen in the framework of the European Commission mission on review of the projects concerning the public administration reform, anticorruption measures, Programmes of the legislative sector in Ukraine, funded by the Commission.

On December 9, 2010 work meeting with Serhiy Pos’ from Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, Department of International Technical Assistance and cooperation with international financial organizations was held.

The aim of the meeting was the discussion of registration procedures of the technical assistance projects, inter alia Twinning projects.

On December 8, 2010 work group meetings on preparation of IRP in the areas "Migration" and "Support of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement" was held. 
During the meeting mechanisms of IRP development in state aid area and technical assistance already available in the sphere were discussed. As well as institutional needs of public authorities in this area, including the need to change existing legislation to EU requirements, optimization of management system in the sector, the need of the introduction of e-governance and in developing strategic documents in the sector etc.

On December 7, 2010 work group meeting on preparation of IRP in the area "state aid" was held. 
The meeting was attended by representatives of state bodies of Ukraine, in particular, Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine and the EU Delegation in Ukraine, Ukrainian-European policy and legal advice centre (Ueplac) and independent experts.

On 19 January 2011 at the premises of Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine a Steering Committee meeting of Twinning project for State Committee of Veterinary Medicine of Ukraine “Support for the Ukrainian Veterinary Services in Enhancing the Legal and Technical Aspects of Food Safety Control System” took place.

On 17 January 2011 at the premises of Building of Government a working meeting headed by Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine on reformation of public authorities in the sphere of food safety took place.
